Shonda joined GuideOne in 2024 and has 25 years of insurance defense litigation experience. Shonda's legal career began as corporate counsel in the legal department of an international baby product company, where she gained extensive knowledge in contract law, employment law, products liability and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. She transitioned to private insurance defense practice, where she litigated high exposure cases involving commercial casualty, products, premises, medical malpractice, construction defect, and civil liability for state entities. She has successfully tried multiple cases to both judge and jury, and is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Louisiana. Shonda earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University, and she holds memberships and affiliations with several professional and civic organizations. Outside the office, Shonda enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with family, friends and her big fur baby, Drogo.
