R. J. Blue is an experienced trial attorney who has represented corporate and individual clients in more than 1,500 lawsuits. He has tried nearly 100 cases to juries and focuses on complex civil litigation, trials and appeals involving personal injuries and insurance claims, including first-party cases against insurers. R. J.'s extensive litigation experience includes numerous unique legal issues, including the loss of consciousness as a defense to gross negligence, foreseeability in wrongful death cases, and civil immunity for the justifiable use of deadly force. R. J. has published and taught courses on evidence, trial technology, jury selection, damages, and the use of persuasive psychology during voir dire and trial.
R.J. Blue is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University and a B.S. in Business Management/Finance from the University of Tennessee. R. J. served honorably in the United States Army, where he was a crewmember on an M1/A1 main battle tank.
